Howick Historical Village

Howick Historical Village is an open-air museum spread across grounds with heritage gardens and relocated structures. Buildings are furnished as they would have been during the colonial period, between 1840 and 1880, offering a look at how daily life functioned then.

The site began in 1980 when the Howick Historical Society started relocating buildings from the surrounding area. These structures represent a crucial period in local colonial history, preserving examples of early settlement in the region.
