Pillbox 131

Pillbox 131 is a fortified bunker built during World War II in Kremenishche, featuring two separate firing positions for machine guns positioned beneath armored hoods. The structure is made of reinforced concrete and was designed to withstand direct artillery fire during combat operations.

The bunker was constructed as part of the Kiev fortified region defense system during the Second World War to serve as a strategic military post. It was one of many similar positions built across the area to counter advancing military forces.

The military structure stands as evidence of wartime engineering and represents a period of Ukrainian resistance against foreign military forces.

The bunker is visible from the road and can be reached on foot, though it sits in a remote area outside the village. It is advisable to wear sturdy shoes and check local conditions before visiting.

The bunker retains its original configuration with two distinct weapons stations, visible gun ports, and specialized ventilation openings from the 1940s. These preserved details allow visitors today to observe the practical military engineering methods of that era.
