Перегінський замок

Perehinski Castle is a rectangular fortress in a mountainous region of Ukraine, situated at an elevation of approximately 400 meters. The structure with its thick stone walls overlooks the Styr River valley and contains multiple rooms designed for different purposes.

The castle was built in the 1630s and followed a European design style that combined fortress features with palace characteristics. This design was new to the region and showed the influence of Western European architectural trends on local building traditions.

The castle shows how wealthy families lived in this region during medieval times and displays typical features of architecture from that era. The different rooms and their layout give a sense of what daily life was like in a fortified residence.

The castle is located in a mountainous area, so traveling by car is the best way to reach it. The location offers good views of the surroundings, but visitors should be prepared for rough paths and steep slopes.

The building was designed following a French architectural concept that blended defensive functions with living comfort, an unusual approach for this region in the 1600s. This blend of fortress and residential castle made the structure noteworthy for its time.
