The rectangular castle stands at 399 meters above sea level, offering strategic views over the Styr River valley from its fortified stone walls.
The castle was constructed between 1635 and 1640 under architect Guillaume Le Vasseur de Beauplan, following the palazzo in fortezza architectural design.
The structure represents local medieval architecture and contains multiple halls, including colored rooms that reflect the social organization of that period.
The castle is located at 8 Shkilna Street, though access requires personal transportation due to the mountainous terrain of the region.
Current residents inhabit the castle grounds and welcome photographers who document the historical structure throughout the year.
