Candy Cane Mountains, Colored shale mountains in Khizi and Siyazan districts, Azerbaijan.

The mountains display layers of white and red rock formations across their surface, creating patterns that resemble striped confectionery.

British travel writer Mark Elliott introduced the name Candy Cane Mountains in his comprehensive guidebook about Azerbaijan and neighboring Georgia.

The mountains serve as a natural monument within the Greater Caucasus range, attracting photographers and nature enthusiasts from around Azerbaijan.

Located 40 kilometers from the Guba-Baku highway, the mountains offer multiple hiking paths with temperatures ranging between 6 and 16 degrees Celsius.

The rock layers contain numerous belemnite fossils from the Cretaceous period, offering insights into prehistoric marine life.
