Plage de Portigliolo, Sandy beach in Coti-Chiavari, France.

Plage de Portigliolo is a sandy beach in Coti-Chiavari that stretches for about 2 kilometers along the southern shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio. The shoreline runs between natural landmarks and provides water access from several entry points.

This Mediterranean coastal area has maintained its natural form for centuries and was an important place for local fishermen. Traditional fishing methods continue to shape how the community relates to the sea today.

Locals and visitors gather at waterfront restaurants to taste traditional Corsican food in a relaxed setting. Places like Chez Mico shape the everyday rhythm of the beach and invite people to linger.

The beach is equipped with changing facilities, toilets, and boat rentals, and can be reached through two separate parking areas. Access roads via routes D55 and D155 make it easy to find parking nearby.

The shoreline has natural rock formations that jut from the water and create separate swimming areas with different depths. These formations shape the swimming experience and offer variety for different abilities.
