Stairway to Nothingness, Glass platform viewpoint at Dachstein glacier, Austria.

The Stairway to Nothingness consists of 14 narrow steps leading to a transparent platform suspended 400 meters above the ground at Dachstein glacier.

Engineers completed the construction in 2013 using 63 tons of steel and concrete, transported by specialized equipment across the challenging mountain terrain.

The structure represents Austrian engineering excellence in creating observation platforms that connect visitors with the natural mountain environment of the Alps.

The glass platform accommodates four people at once and requires purchasing a combination ticket that includes access to the suspension bridge and ice palace.

The stairs terminate at a glass shelf where visitors can step out into open space with unobstructed views extending down towards the valley floor.

Among the destinations are TILT Chicago, a platform that tilts above the city from the 94th floor, and Trolltunga in Norway, a rocky formation protruding 700 meters above Lake Ringedalsvatnet. In China, the Zhangjiajie glass bridge spans 430 meters between two cliffs, while in Ecuador, the Banos swing enables swinging facing the Tungurahua volcano.
