Musée de l'illusion Paris, Interactive perception museum in 1st arrondissement, France
The Museum of Illusions Paris contains 70 installations that alter perception through optical tricks, holograms, and interactive displays across multiple rooms.
First established in Zagreb in 2015, this museum concept expanded internationally before opening its first French location in central Paris.
Each exhibit educates visitors about the scientific principles of visual perception while demonstrating how the human brain processes optical information.
Located at 98 rue Saint-Denis, the museum welcomes visitors from 10:00 to 20:00 Sunday through Wednesday and extends hours until 22:00 Thursday through Saturday.
The Ames Room creates an illusion where people appear to grow or shrink as they move between corners due to the chamber's irregular geometry.

Paris contains educational museums, theme parks, and recreational spaces for families. Disneyland Paris and Parc Astérix provide entertainment with rides and shows. The Cité des Sciences presents interactive science exhibits, while the Jardin des Plantes combines a zoo with botanical gardens. Multiple museums offer specialized programs for children, including the Louvre and Centre Pompidou. Water attractions include Aquaboulevard's pools and Seine river tours. Indoor venues such as climbing facilities and creative workshops provide year-round entertainment options.
For Halloween, which thrills both children and adults, amusement parks transform their spaces with specific decorations and events. Historic castles program night tours that scare, caves, catacombs, and historic sites unveil their mysteries through special tours. Museums organize night events with productions that will send shivers down the spine of even the bravest visitors!
