U Ziyada, Kurdish-Polish restaurant in Przegorzały district, Kraków, Poland

U Ziyada occupies two levels within Przegorzały Castle, featuring a round lower terrace with views of the Vistula River and Tatra Mountains. The upper sections house dining areas while the lower level contains bars and lounge spaces.

Przegorzały Castle dates to the 19th century and originally served as a residential mansion for affluent families. Its transformation into a restaurant preserved the historic building as a cultural meeting point.

The restaurant blends Polish cooking traditions with Kurdish flavors, serving lamb dishes and other specialties made with quality local ingredients. Guests experience authentic tastes from both cultures in one setting.

The establishment sits near Wolski Forest and is accessible by public transit from the city center. Visiting in late afternoon is ideal for enjoying sunset views from the terrace.

The building lay unused for years before becoming a restaurant and was carefully restored to recover its original character. This preservation brought new life to the historic property while maintaining its architectural integrity.
