Bodzów

Bodzów is a historical district in Kraków's Dębniki neighborhood that covers a large area with limestone caves, natural paths, and remains of an Austrian artillery fort. The landscape features rocky outcrops and offers different entry points for visitors of various abilities.

The area was first recorded in the 12th century and belonged to Kraków's cathedral chapter for centuries before being incorporated into the city in 1941. The Austrian fort from a later period reflects military presence during the occupation era.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Snow shapes how this former settlement developed, showing how faith and community life were connected across generations. Visitors can still sense how religious tradition influenced daily life in this area.

Visitors can navigate through several clear paths, with some leading to higher points offering views of surrounding landscapes. Sturdy footwear is important since some trails cross uneven terrain and pass near rocky edges.
