Korv-Ingvar

Korv-Ingvar is a steel sculpture near the Solna Centrum subway station that depicts a local sausage vendor wearing his characteristic coat. The figure captures him in the posture of a street seller at his traditional work location.

Artist Thomas Qvarsebo created the sculpture in 2001 to honor Elof Ingvar Rogell, who opened his first sausage stand in Solna in 1948. The work documents the beginning of a local business that operated for many decades.

The sculpture honors a street vendor who became known for supporting young people and hospital patients, reflecting his place in the community's daily life.

The sculpture sits directly beside the subway entrance, making it easy to find and highly visible. The nearby food kiosk operates on a fixed schedule, so check the hours before planning to eat there.
