Korv-Ingvar

The stainless steel sculpture of Korv-Ingvar stands near the subway station at Solna Centrum, depicting a local sausage vendor in his characteristic coat.

Thomas Qvarsebo created this sculpture in 2001 to honor Elof Ingvar Rogell, who established his first sausage kiosk in central Solna during 1948.

The sculpture represents the connection between street food vendors and local communities, commemorating a merchant who supported youth sports and hospital patients.

The statue is located next to the current Korv-Ingvars kiosk, which operates from 10:00 to 21:00 on weekdays and 11:00 to 20:00 on weekends.

The sculpture portrays Korv-Ingvar wearing the same coat he used when starting his business in 1948, preserving a specific moment in local history.
