קימל בגלבוע, Restaurant and wooden structure at Mount Gilboa, Israel
Kimel in Gilboa is a restaurant set in a wooden structure at the foot of Mount Gilboa, in northern Israel. It has a large bar, a private dining room, and an outdoor terrace overlooking the Jezreel Valley, Mount Carmel, and Mount Tabor.
Chef Shaul Ben Aderet founded this restaurant at the foot of Mount Gilboa, bringing together the area's farming traditions and a more contemporary way of cooking. Over time it became a known stop in the local food scene.
Kimel in Gilboa sources ingredients from a garden right next to the building, where herbs and vegetables are grown on site. This connection between kitchen and land reflects a local food culture rooted in seasonal produce from the surrounding area.
The restaurant is easy to reach and has bus stops nearby. Opening hours change depending on the day, so it is worth checking before you go, and booking ahead is a good idea for groups.
In summer, brunch is served in a vine-covered hut next to the main building, giving the meal a very different feel from eating inside. This space can host up to 100 guests and is also used for private events.
