L'Impulsif

L'Impulsif is a restaurant on the ground floor of a Belle Époque building that merges French cooking techniques with flavors and ideas from around the world. It offers multi-course discovery menus Wednesday through Sunday, with options ranging from three to ten culinary sequences.

The restaurant opened in 2019 after Chef Rémi Laroque completed his training at Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon. Laroque brought an unusual perspective to his work, having first studied biochemistry before pursuing cooking.

The dining room blends 19th-century architectural details with modern tableware and rotating art displays on the walls. This mixture of old and new creates a space where history and contemporary expression coexist naturally.

Plan your visit Wednesday through Sunday, as the restaurant is closed other days. The menu can take several hours, so allow plenty of time and settle in for a leisurely meal.

Chef Laroque focuses on single ingredients and draws from both his Vietnamese heritage and French culinary training. This unexpected blend of two different cooking traditions defines the restaurant's entire approach to food.
