Museum of Folk Life and Architecture of Middle Naddnipryanshyna

This open-air museum sits on Tatar Mount and displays traditional Ukrainian buildings moved from their original locations across the region. The site contains full homesteads with houses, farm structures, and thousands of everyday objects that show how people lived.

It was created in the 1960s as Ukraine's first open-air museum, with a focus on preserving structures from several centuries of regional history. The institution was built to save traditional ways of life before they disappeared completely.

The buildings show how families organized their homes and worked the land in the Middle Cis-Dnipro region over several centuries. Visitors can observe the layout of rooms, the placement of objects, and the way spaces were used for different activities.

The site spreads across a large area, so comfortable walking shoes are essential and visitors should plan for a longer visit to see everything. Exploring on foot at a relaxed pace allows you to move between buildings and take in the details at each stop.

The museum holds a specialized collection of embroidered textiles from different regions of Ukraine, showing needlework traditions passed down through families. These cloths display regional differences in designs, colors, and patterns that made each area distinctive.
