National Historic-Ethnographic Reserve "Pereyaslav"

The National Historic-Ethnographic Reserve Pereyaslav comprises more than 20 museums and documented buildings spread across the grounds. This collection includes traditional houses, churches, workshops, and craft studios that preserve rural life from an entire region.

The grounds were established in 1979 to preserve the heritage of a region that held key importance in Ukraine's history. This area served as a center of power and culture during the Cossack era of the 17th century.

The grounds display how rural people lived through everyday objects and crafts passed down through generations. You see tools, clothing, and household items that show how village life actually worked.

The grounds are large, so wear comfortable shoes and allow plenty of time to explore everything. Guided tours help you understand the stories behind the buildings and objects on display.

Many buildings at this location were brought from their original sites and carefully reconstructed here. This makes the place a living open-air museum where you see authentic structures from across the region.
