The Nauti Lobstah
The Nauti Lobstah is a seafood restaurant in Apopka, Florida, specializing in New England-inspired dishes. It serves Maine lobster, fresh fish, oysters, and classic seafood fare including the popular Connecticut Lobster Roll with generous meat on toasted brioche and a legendary two-foot roll filled with two pounds of lobster that has gained attention across the country.
The building dates to the turn of the 20th century and was originally a train depot. Before the current owners purchased it in 2020, it housed a popular local seafood spot called The Catfish Place. The restaurant opened in late September 2021 and blends some old recipes with a new seafood-focused menu.
The restaurant honors its seafood theme through oyster shell landscaping outside and a small train display inside that nods to the building's railroad heritage. These touches create a connection to maritime culture and the local history of the place.
The restaurant is located in downtown Apopka on South Forest Avenue and is easily accessible with free parking. It has both indoor seating with multiple rooms and outdoor tables, with stairs and a ramp available for visitors with mobility needs, while staff are attentive to allergies, especially shellfish sensitivities.
The restaurant is famous for its legendary two-foot-long lobster roll packed with two pounds of Maine lobster, originally introduced for the second anniversary and quickly went viral on social media. This oversized specialty attracts visitors from across the country and even internationally who often share photos of their experience.
