The Surratt House features Federal architecture with a symmetrical design, containing two floors and five windows across each level of the main facade.

Built in 1852, this property gained national attention when owner Mary Surratt was convicted and executed for her role in President Lincoln's assassination plot.

The house museum contains period furnishings and exhibits that demonstrate the daily life of Maryland residents during the American Civil War era.

Located at 9118 Brandywine Road, the museum includes the James O. Hall Research Center, which maintains extensive records about the Lincoln assassination investigation.
