The restaurant occupies a section of a former limestone quarry that shaped the development of the Quarry Market district in San Antonio. This mining past formed the distinctive landscape and infrastructure of the current marketplace.
The establishment combines German beer garden customs with local Texas dining habits, serving both American dishes and German-style draft beers to guests. Visitors experience a blend of these two traditions reflected in the decor and menu offerings.
Access the restaurant through the Quarry Market complex, with parking available near the main entrance. It helps to explore the grounds, as the venue spans connected sections throughout the area.
The beer garden features an outdoor temperature control system that enables year-round dining regardless of Texas weather. This technology allows guests to enjoy the outdoor area comfortably even on extremely hot or cold days.
