The Dufour Pavilion dates to the 17th century and once served as a gathering place for French nobility moving through court life. Chef Alain Ducasse transformed the building into a restaurant, creating a modern dining experience within walls that hold centuries of palace history.
The restaurant presents traditional French breakfast customs through Le Lever du Roi, a morning concept that recreates how royalty once dined. Visitors can experience a meal rooted in palace history while sitting in a space where courtiers once moved through daily life.
The venue operates Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 to 17:30, with a separate entrance via the Courtyard of Honor that keeps guests away from the main palace circuit. This independent access means visitors can enjoy a meal without navigating through typical palace routes.
