Néovinum
Néovinum is a winery and museum in Ruoms that displays the winemaking process and offers tastings of local wines. The space combines exhibits of historical tools with modern facilities, inviting visitors to explore and sample wines from the Ardèche region.
The site was created to preserve and display the winemaking tradition of Ardèche and show how past and modern techniques differ. The region has a long history as a wine-producing area, and this place documents how that practice has continued to the present day.
Néovinum reflects the importance of wine in the local community and how this tradition shapes daily life in Ardèche. Visitors can sense this connection when walking through the exhibits and learning how winemaking remains central to the region's identity.
The site has parking, free Wi-Fi, and bike racks with charging points for electric bikes plus a repair kit for minor repairs. The location is easy to reach and welcoming to families, groups, and individual visitors, with staff speaking multiple languages.
Néovinum is part of a larger network with two other sites: Domaine Terra Noé and the Aven d'Orgnac cave, which together present a broader picture of local culture. These connections allow visitors to explore multiple locations in the region and develop a deeper understanding of the area's history.
