Postcard Inn on the Beach
Postcard Inn on the Beach is a hotel located directly on the Gulf of Mexico shoreline in Saint Pete Beach, Florida. It offers approximately 200 rooms, a large heated pool, and more than 300 feet (90 meters) of beachfront access for swimming and relaxation.
The building was constructed in 1957 as the Colonial Gateway Inn and became a popular destination in Saint Pete Beach. It was renamed Postcard Inn in 2009 and has shaped the local hospitality scene for generations.
The name references classic postcard imagery of beach scenes. It has long served as a familiar gathering place in the local community and represents the spirit of a traditional seaside resort.
Rooms include beds, flat-screen televisions, mini refrigerators, and coffee makers for comfortable stays. Guests have direct beach access and can participate in activities such as yoga sessions and live music or simply relax in lounges by the pool or waterfront.
The hotel features a daily Sunset Social where guests gather about an hour before sunset to enjoy drinks, listen to music, and celebrate the moment together. This tradition creates a special Gulf-side gathering that many visitors remember as a highlight of their stay.
