Dotenoiseya occupies a two-story wooden building featuring traditional Japanese architectural details and craftsmanship. The menu focuses on tempura dishes accompanied by rice, available in three different portion sizes.

The restaurant was founded in 1889 and survived the 1923 Kanto earthquake while remaining in its original structure. This continuity represents more than a century of operation through Japan's modern transformation.

The owner family has passed down traditional tempura preparation techniques across generations. Dishes served here reflect cooking methods that trace back to the Edo period.

The restaurant sits about six minutes on foot from Minowa Station, making it accessible by public transport. Be aware that it closes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with limited daily opening hours.

The building holds official status as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan, protecting its original wooden structure from the Meiji period. This designation ensures that the establishment maintains its historical craftsmanship and architectural integrity.
