Kolugljúfur

Local tales name the canyon after Kola, a giantess who would catch salmon from the canyon's edge and cook them in the natural hot springs.

Visitors can access two observation platforms near the parking area, providing clear views of the Kolufossar waterfalls and the canyon's landscape.

The canyon contains a natural formation called Kolurúm on its western edge, which folklore identifies as the sleeping place of the giantess Kola.
