Perge theater, Roman theater in Aksu, Turkey

The Perge theater features stone seating areas arranged in a semicircle, with a capacity to accommodate 15,000 spectators during performances.

The theater structure dates back to 120 AD during the Roman period, when Perge developed into a major urban center of Pamphylia.

The theater building includes marble decorations and sculpted elements that demonstrate the high level of craftsmanship achieved by local artisans.

The archaeological site opens daily from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM in summer, with access through the AntRay tram to Aksu station.

The theater structure incorporates both Greek and Roman architectural elements, including a stage building with ornate second-century decorations.
