Praia Grande de Almograve, Atlantic beach in Longueira/Almograve, Portugal.
The expansive golden sand beach stretches between red cliffs and black rock formations, with strong waves meeting the Portuguese coastline.
The beach has remained largely unaltered since its integration into the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park conservation initiative.
Local fishermen maintain traditional fishing practices at Porto das Lapas das Pombas, located at the southern end of the beach.
Three dedicated staircases provide access to the beach from the clifftop parking area, with lifeguard services available from June through September.
The northern section features gentle sand dunes while the southern area displays black shale rocks emerging from steep cliffs.
