Balneário de Termas de Ibira, Hot spring complex in Ibirá, Brazil.

The thermal complex contains five mineral water sources: Ademar de Barros, Carlos Gomes, Jorrante, Saracura, and Seixas, set within a park with lakes and walking paths.

Indigenous peoples first discovered the healing properties of these waters, and local farmers later noticed their animals regained vitality after drinking from these springs.

The Evaristo Mendes Seixas spa facility provides therapeutic immersion baths combined with aesthetic treatments, physiotherapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture services.

The facility operates Monday afternoons, Tuesday through Friday from morning to evening, and weekends from early morning, with vehicle parking fees starting at 5 Brazilian reais.

The mineral waters contain vanadium, maintaining a high alkalinity with pH near 10, matching only one other source worldwide, located in Vichy, France.

Waterfalls in Brazil: Iguaçu, Chapada Diamantina, hot springs

Brazil has numerous waterfalls and hot springs across its varied landscapes. At Iguaçu, water flows over 275 individual falls. The Chapada Diamantina region contains several waterfalls, including the 1,247-foot (380-meter) Cachoeira da Fumaça. Serra da Canastra is home to the 610-foot (186-meter) Casca d'Anta waterfall. Natural pools with clear water are found at Poço Azul and Lagoa Azul. The thermal springs at Ibirá provide mineral water at constant temperature. These locations are distributed across different regions of Brazil, from the southern Serra Gaúcha with Caracol cascade to the tablelands of Jalapão in the north. The waterfalls vary in height and volume. Some plunge over steep rock faces, while others flow through narrow canyons. Several of these sites are located in national parks or protected areas.
