Golfplatz Seefeld-Wildmoos, Golf course in Telfs, Austria.
Golfplatz Seefeld-Wildmoos is an 18-hole course positioned at roughly 1,300 meters (4,265 feet) elevation in alpine terrain dotted with birch and larch trees. The natural slope of the land combined with carefully positioned bunkers creates a playing field that works with the mountainous surroundings rather than against them.
The course was designed by Donald Harradine in 1969 and incorporated the mountain terrain's natural slopes from its inception. This alpine setting became central to the original vision and continues to define the character of the site.
The course belongs to the Leading Golf Courses Austria association, maintaining strict quality standards through regular anonymous evaluations and assessments.
The course sits on elevated terrain with some steep pathways, so visitors should wear sturdy shoes and bring water. The restaurant offering mountain views serves as a good rest point between rounds or after play.
The high elevation causes golf balls to travel about 10 percent farther than on courses at standard altitude, which fundamentally changes how the game plays. This physical characteristic makes every round here a distinctly different experience from flat terrain courses.
