Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort

Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort is an 18-hole golf course in San Roque situated across sand dunes near the beach with Mediterranean views incorporated into the layout. The facility offers a professional shop, practice areas, and instruction from certified golf professionals.

The resort was established in 1992 and underwent complete reconstruction in 2004 by American architect Kurtis Bowman, who redesigned all tees, greens, and bunkers. This major overhaul significantly changed the course's playability and character.

The resort represents Spanish coastal golf heritage through its design that connects Mediterranean traditions with international golfing standards.

The course sits directly on the coast with beach access and allows visitors to combine golf with a coastal experience. Players should expect windier conditions due to the open dune landscape and proximity to the sea, which affects how the game plays.

The course is the only links-style golf layout in southern Spain and offers views of Gibraltar and the North African coast from many holes. This geographic position makes every round a special experience with panoramic backdrops found nowhere else in the region.
