Golf Club Castelfalfi, Golf course in Montaione, Italy
Golf Club Castelfalfi is a championship course in the Tuscan hills with 27 holes split between the Mountain Course and Lake Course. The two layouts span over 9,400 meters of fairways and offer varying difficulty levels for golfers of all skill levels.
The course opened in 2010 and transformed Montaione's agricultural landscape into a professional sports facility. Architects Preißmann and Moroder designed the layout with careful attention to the existing terrain and natural features.
The course incorporates local Tuscan design elements, with native plants and traditional stone structures woven throughout the layout to reflect the regional landscape.
The facility offers golf instruction through its academy, with covered practice areas, putting greens, and specialized zones for short game training. The terrain is hilly, so visitors should expect varying levels of walking difficulty depending on which course they choose.
The Mountain Course features significant elevation changes that add technical challenges to the game. This terrain makes it one of the most demanding golf experiences in Italy.
