Camifolia Jardin des Plantes Médicinales

Camifolia spans 3.5 hectares and contains more than 600 plant species, organized into six themed areas including a scent hill and a botanical garden section.

Following the phylloxera epidemic in the mid-19th century, local farmers shifted to growing medicinal plants, establishing Chemillé as France's center for herbal cultivation.

The garden received recognition as an official French Botanical Garden and Notable Garden, reflecting its role in preserving plant knowledge and traditions.

Visitors can access the garden from May through October, with adult admission at 7 euros and free entry for children under 12 years old.

The garden features specialized areas where guests can touch, smell, and taste various plants, plus a bamboo forest and spider-themed passage for exploration.
