Plage du Pentagone

Pentagone Beach is a Mediterranean shoreline that combines sandy areas with pebble sections stretching along the coast and accommodating different activities. The site features showers, restrooms, parking facilities, and a supervised swimming area near the port during summer months.

This beach occupies a location where salt production took place from medieval times through the 20th century at the Vieux Salins facilities. The salt works shaped the local economy and landscape for centuries before being abandoned.

The beach serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors spend time swimming and socializing, especially during warmer months when waterfront restaurants fill with diners. The shoreline reflects the relaxed pace of Mediterranean life, where leisure activities and mealtimes blend together naturally.

The beach provides good facilities and parking space for visitors arriving by car or other means. Swimming areas are supervised by lifeguards during the summer season to ensure water safety.

A reserved section of the shore accommodates naturist visitors and is managed by the Hyères Naturist Association. This dedicated area allows those who prefer this form of recreation to enjoy the beach separately.
