Parc Zoologique de la Petite Hotoie, Animal park in Amiens, France
The Parc Zoologique de la Petite Hotoie extends across 7 hectares near Amiens city center, housing 700 animals from 100 different species within naturalistic environments.
Founded in 1952 during the Picardy trade fair, the zoo initially borrowed animals from other facilities, including Paris Zoological Park and Cleres Zoological Park.
The zoo maintains membership in both the French Zoological Parks Association and the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums since 2001.
The facility operates Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sundays until 7:00 PM, with wheelchair accessibility throughout the park grounds.
The zoo participates in conservation programs for endangered species, including red panda protection in Nepal and sulcata tortoise reintroduction in Senegal.
