Parc animalier Bois de Saint-Pierre

The Parc animalier Bois de Saint-Pierre is a zoo located within a forest setting, housing about 200 European and exotic animals in a dedicated 5-hectare area. The broader woodland spans about 248 hectares and includes natural pathways throughout.

The municipality of Poitiers acquired the forest property in 1968 and developed it into a recreational area. The natural character of the land was maintained throughout this transformation.
