Corsica Zoo, Animal park in Olmeta-di-Tuda, France
Corsica Zoo is an animal park spread across 8 hectares (about 20 acres) with 400 animals representing 60 species from five continents. The grounds are organized into different zones that reflect the natural habitats these creatures come from.
This zoological park opened in 2019 as the first facility of its kind on the Mediterranean island. Its creation marked a new chapter in nature education and conservation efforts for the region.
Feeding demonstrations happen regularly throughout the day, allowing visitors to watch how keepers interact with different species. These moments reveal the individual personalities and behaviors of the animals in a natural way.
The zoo sits 25 minutes from Bastia and 15 minutes from Saint-Florent and operates daily during the season. Visiting early in the day works best since animals are more active and crowds are smaller.
One euro from every ticket goes directly to nature conservation programs around the world. This means your visit directly supports efforts to protect endangered animals in their natural habitats.
