AnimaliA Parc, Theme park in Naujac-sur-Mer, France.
AnimaliA Parc is an animal park in the Médoc woodland with over 250 animals from farm species and local forest wildlife. The grounds span about 10 hectares and offer various areas to explore and observe the inhabitants.
The grounds originally served as a 19th-century farm specializing in game breeding. Over time it transformed into an animal park aimed at preserving regional animal species.
The park showcases livestock breeds that have been raised in the region for generations, including Bordelaise cattle and Gascon pigs. Visitors can observe how these animals live and work in their natural surroundings.
The park is easily accessible on foot and features designated picnic areas where visitors can enjoy their own meals or purchase local organic food baskets. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as the grounds are varied and require navigating different paths.
A special educational trail called 'Secrets of our Forests' guides visitors through interactive riddles and displays of stuffed animals. This activity was specially designed to teach children about local forest wildlife in an engaging way.
