Forges de Pyrène

Forges de Pyrène is a heritage theme park set across about 5 hectares of natural landscape, featuring several traditional workshops and recreated village scenes from different periods. The grounds are laid out to show how people worked and lived in this region through hands-on craft spaces.

The park documents the region's craft evolution over the 20th century through tools, machinery, and objects used by artisans in the Pyrenees. This collection shows how traditional techniques changed and adapted over time.

Artisans demonstrate traditional skills like blacksmithing, weaving, and bread making throughout the day. These crafts are central to how locals understand their regional identity and daily life in the past.

The park is easy to navigate, with clearly marked areas for different craft stations and pathways throughout the grounds. Wear comfortable shoes since the terrain is uneven and you will walk between workshops.

The grounds include an art gallery with a built-in auditorium that seats 110 people, demonstrating how modern facilities can coexist with historical character. This space serves as a cultural meeting point within the craft-focused park.
