Labyrinthe de l'Ermite

The Hermit's Labyrinth is a corn field site divided into multiple walking routes, each offering a different path through the fields. Along the way, visitors encounter riddles and mental challenges designed to guide them to the exit.

The labyrinth emerged in the early 2000s when local agricultural land near the medieval town of Domme was transformed into a recreational attraction. This shift shows how traditional farming areas have adapted to modern leisure interests.

The hermit character weaves local storytelling into the experience, connecting visitors to Périgord traditions through the puzzles and narrative they encounter. As you walk the paths, you move through a story rooted in the region's heritage.

The site is straightforward to navigate, with clear markings to help you find your way through the corn fields. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as you will spend time walking between the paths and solving puzzles.

Each route offers different difficulty levels, challenging both beginners and experienced puzzle solvers. Many visitors are unaware that several paths have intersecting sections that make navigation trickier than it first appears.
