Bärenbob
Bärenbob is a leisure park in Grafenau featuring a summer toboggan run that winds down a hillside through forest and landscape for about 450 meters. Besides the slide, the park offers an outdoor swimming pool, a trampoline area, play equipment, and a Kneipp water therapy pool for visitors of all ages.
Bärenbob was developed as a leisure facility to attract families to the Grafenau region and deepen their connection with Bavarian Forest nature. The facility is part of broader tourism development in an area historically shaped by forestry and traditional crafts.
The name Bärenbob references the bears native to the region's forests. The park serves as a gathering place where families spend time outdoors and connect with the landscape while children play and adults relax together.
The facility operates from March to October and is easily accessible via the A3 highway from nearby cities. Visitors should wear comfortable clothing and it is wise to arrive early on warm days, as the park becomes crowded in good weather.
During the ride, a camera captures a photo of you that can be purchased as a keepsake of your visit. This small memento records the moment of excitement and is popular with families who want to document their experience.
