Scharmützelbob
Scharmützelbob is a recreation area in Bad Saarow centered on a nearly 1,000-meter sled track running down a hillside. Riders control their speed with hand brakes while reaching around 40 kilometers per hour, and the journey takes about four minutes to complete.
Scharmützelbob was established as a recreation facility near Scharmützelsee and grew into a popular day-trip destination in the Bad Saarow region. Over time, the site expanded beyond the sled track to add indoor attractions such as the Duellarena, which offers climbing obstacles and competitive games.
The name Scharmützelbob combines the nearby Scharmützelsee lake with the sled ride attraction that defines the place. Visitors use this location as a gathering spot where families and groups share time together, with the water and surrounding landscape shaping the daily experience.
Entry to the grounds is free, and you pay only for the activities you choose to try. The Bob-Inn bistro serves snacks, ice cream, and both cold and hot drinks, making it easy to take breaks between riding and playing.
The park features a light reaction wall where visitors hit flashing targets to test their reflexes and quick reactions. Visitors can also try panning for gold like in the Old West or use unlimited marbles on the wooden marble run.
