Povestea Calendarului, Theme park in Porumbacu de Jos, Romania.
This Romanian theme park features twelve colorful themed houses representing each month of the year, built across 10,000 square meters near the Făgăraș Mountains with interactive QR codes that tell traditional legends and stories about each month's significance.
The park was created by Sibiu residents Anca and David Damian to preserve ancient Romanian calendar traditions that date back to medieval times when communities marked agricultural and religious cycles through seasonal celebrations and folk customs.
Each house represents traditional Romanian month names like Gerar, Făurar, and Mărțișor, showcasing folk legends about the twelve sons of the Year while preserving cultural heritage through interactive storytelling and educational workshops for visitors.
The park operates daily from 09:00 to 18:00 with wheelchair accessibility, charging 35 lei for adults and 25 lei for children over three years old, while offering free access for children under three years of age.
Visitors can scan QR codes at each themed house using their mobile phones to listen to authentic Romanian folk tales and legends narrated in Romanian, creating an interactive storytelling experience that connects modern technology with ancient traditions.
