Khndzoresk Swinging Bridge, Suspension bridge in Khndzoresk, Armenia.

This steel structure spans 160 meters across a deep gorge, connecting the old and new sections of Khndzoresk village at 63 meters above ground.

The bridge construction in 2012 reconnected the ancient cave settlement of Old Khndzoresk, which was inhabited until the 1950s, with the modern village.

Local villagers built this 14-ton bridge using manual labor and horse power, demonstrating the traditional Armenian spirit of community collaboration.

Visitors need to descend 400 stairs to reach the bridge entrance, which allows both pedestrians and cyclists to cross between the two parts of the village.

The bridge structure moves and sways with each step, creating a physical connection between the medieval cave dwellings and present-day settlement.
