Les Noces de Feu - les Grandes Eaux, Water and fire show at Puy du Fou, Les Épesses, France
Les Noces de Feu - les Grandes Eaux is a water show on the lake at Puy du Fou where over a hundred synchronized water jets create geometric patterns while fire effects and illuminated fountains light up the water. Dancers move along the shoreline as orchestral music accompanies the display, with a central water organ pipe system adding to the spectacle.
The show emerged in 2020 as a replacement for Les Orgues de Feu, marking a new phase in Puy du Fou's partnership with Aquatique Show that started in the 1990s. This redesign brought technical improvements and a refreshed artistic vision to the lake venue.
The show tells the story of two musicians through classical compositions performed by the Berthollet sisters, while dancers move along the lakeshore in harmony with the music. This blend of melody and movement creates an emotional experience that goes beyond visual spectacle.
The show runs for about 30 minutes and takes place outdoors on selected evenings, so arriving early helps secure a good viewing spot. Comfortable shoes and clothing suited to changing weather are useful since spectators sit near the water.
The system uses digital water curtains shaped through the air that allow images and patterns to be displayed directly within the water flow. This technology enables the show to shift quickly between different visual effects during the performance.
