Billingham Forum Ice Rink
Billingham Forum Ice Rink is an ice skating facility located in Stockton-on-Tees that provides ice surfaces for skaters of all abilities. The venue features rental skates, lessons at various levels, spectator areas, and hosts hockey games, ice shows, and special themed events throughout the year.
The venue opened in 1967 and was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II, marking its importance to the community. Following a major renovation in 2011, it reopened and has remained a central location for local skating and community events.
The ice rink serves as a gathering place for the community, where people of all ages come together to skate or watch performances and hockey matches. It has a welcoming atmosphere that encourages both newcomers and regular skaters to participate in local events and celebrations.
The ice rink is easily accessible by car via the nearby A19 road with ample parking available. Visitors can also arrive by bus or train, with a bus stop right outside the entrance and Billingham train station within walking distance.
Children under 3 years old skate for free, and beginners can use stability aids shaped like penguins or snowmen to help them stand on the ice more easily. The SNAPS program has operated for over 20 years, providing specialized support for people with disabilities to enjoy skating safely.
