Albrook Mall, Shopping mall in Ancón, Panama
Albrook Mall is a shopping center in Ancón, Panama, with over 700 stores on multiple floors and wide corridors filled with international brands and local boutiques. The building sits directly next to the city's bus terminal and covers a large area with restaurants, cinemas, and entertainment zones.
The commercial facility was built after 1999 on the grounds of a former military base that operated throughout the 20th century. This conversion followed the complete handover of the Canal Zone to Panama and marked the start of a new economic era for the area.
The name comes from a former military post and reflects the history of the area before its conversion into a commercial zone. Today families use the place as a meeting point for socializing and spend afternoons or evenings together shopping and eating.
The center is open Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 7 PM, although individual stores and restaurants may have different hours. The connection to the bus terminal makes it easy to reach from all parts of the city, and parking spaces are also available.
The corridors carry animal names and display matching decorations on walls and ceilings, helping visitors orient themselves in the large building. This design turns navigation into a playful experience, especially for children who remember the figures.
