Jagdschloss Hochalm, Hunting estate in Frohnleiten, Austria.
The Jagdschloss Hochalm estate stands at 1200 meters above sea level on a mountain ridge that descends from Wetterkogel in the Styrian region.
In 1960, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi of Iran visited this hunting lodge during his Austrian state visit, dining privately with Count Goess-Saurau.
The estate belongs to the Mayr-Melnhof family and functions as part of Austria's largest private forestry operation, the Franz Mayr-Melnhof-Saurau company.
Visitors can reach the hunting lodge through marked hiking trails that guide them through the mountainous terrain of the Styrian region.
The former head huntsman Adolf Wieland established the Mayr-Melnhof hunting horn band in 1975, adding musical tradition to the estate's legacy.
