Globe Wien, Theatre venue in Landstraße, Austria
Globe Wien occupies a section of the Marx Halle building and functions as a dedicated space for theatrical productions, comedy shows, and musical events.
Opening in October 2014, the theatre design draws inspiration from William Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, with specific architectural elements mirroring the original structure.
The theatre presents numerous Austrian cabaret artists, international comedians, and theatrical performances, operating without public funding through private management.
The venue accommodates between 550 and 1400 spectators, featuring ground-floor seats with wheelchair accessibility and a flexible seating arrangement system.
Following a fire in September 2017, Globe Wien relocated to a different section of Marx Halle, reopening in October 2018 with enhanced facilities.
