Camping Perma Pirate, Eco-friendly campground in Bergerac, France
Camping Perma Pirate is an eco-friendly campsite located on an organic farm adjacent to Pécharmant vineyards in Bergerac, offering dry toilets, hot showers, and a shared outdoor kitchen. Guests find clean bedding, mattresses, and fully equipped facilities throughout the site.
The site was created in 2019 when Allan, a former physics teacher, transformed the land from conventional farming to sustainable permaculture practices. This shift represented a move toward regenerative agriculture and ecological stewardship.
The site operates on a philosophy of shared work and community, where guests can exchange labor during harvest or maintenance for their stay. This approach transforms visitors into temporary members of the farm community rather than passive consumers.
The campsite is open daily from 16:00 to 21:00 and is best explored at a relaxed pace to fully appreciate the surroundings. All facilities are within easy walking distance and clearly arranged across the grounds.
Guests sleep within fruit orchards and receive guides on local edible plants and biodiversity upon arrival. This direct immersion in the agricultural environment turns each stay into a practical learning experience.
