La Prée, Beachfront campground in Préfailles, France
La Prée is a beachfront campground in Préfailles situated about 30 meters from the Atlantic Ocean. The site contains 47 camping pitches and 16 rental accommodations spread across nearly one hectare of coastal land.
The campground sits near the GR34 Customs Trail, which follows historical routes once used by customs officers to monitor maritime traffic. These ancient pathways continue to shape the walking culture of this coastal region.
The camping ground serves as a gateway to local food producers, maritime heritage, and traditional fishing activities in the Loire-Atlantique department.
The facility provides 20 electrical hookups, washing machines, and equipment rentals and is open from April through mid-October. Direct beach access makes it easy to head to the water and explore nearby stretches of sand.
The campground sits at the meeting point of two major cycling routes, Vélocéan and Vélodyssée, which together link hundreds of kilometers of coastal paths. This makes it an excellent starting point for cyclists wanting to explore larger stretches of the French Atlantic coast.
