Anse du Sud

Anse du Sud is a sand beach in Préfailles that stretches along the coast and features fine sand with natural rock formations framing the shoreline. The bay has a curved shape where schist rocks emerge from the sand at low tide.

The beach formed over time through the erosion of surrounding cliffs, creating the schist and sandstone formations visible today. The area was developed as a seaside destination in the late 19th century but has kept its natural appearance ever since.

The bay is accessible in most weather conditions because its curved shape provides natural shelter from strong winds. Restroom facilities are available throughout the year, and lifeguards monitor the area during summer.
