Plage des Sablons

Plage des Sablons is a small cove beach with orange sand surrounded by tall rocky cliffs. The water is clear and the shoreline stretches about 70 meters along the coast.

A religious monument was placed at this location in 1880 following a personal event and has remained part of the landscape since then. The monument connects the site's history with the coastal heritage of the region.

The beach sits beside a popular coastal walking trail that draws visitors through the rocky shoreline. Locals and tourists use this path to explore the area and discover viewpoints along the water.

The beach offers free parking and public restrooms, particularly during summer months. Refreshments are available seasonally, though the water is unattended by lifeguards.

From this beach you can look directly across the Bay of Bourgneuf toward Noirmoutier Island. This island view makes the location special for those interested in coastal photography.
