Mendi Azpian

Mendi Azpian is a campsite set in a natural landscape at the foot of the Pyrenees, close to the Atlantic coast. The facility offers around 100 shaded pitches and mobile homes equipped with bathrooms and basic cooking areas.

The site was created to bring organized camping to the Urrugne area and connect travelers to the border territories between France and Spain. It grew into an established base for visitors drawn to exploring the mountains and coastal regions.

The setting sits within French Basque Country, where visitors can experience how local ways remain rooted in the landscape and nearby villages. The location reflects the region's connection to mountain life and the rhythm of communities that have shaped this border area.

The campground operates from April through November with shaded spots for tents and trailers, plus lodging options for various group sizes. A dedicated bicycle route connects the site directly to nearby beaches and villages.

A paved bicycle path runs directly from the grounds to the beaches of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, crossing through the Basque countryside. This connection lets guests reach the coast without needing a car.
